After a formal education in Architecture my interest and ideas have drawn me into the world of art making. I am an opportunistic experimenter employing my short attention span and curious mind into a diverse body of works operating across sculpture, photography, video, performance and installation. My works often tap into the psyche of objects, giving outdated passive aggressive appliances a chance at retribution for instance, or inviting musical instruments to be played through a human host. I am interested in employing objects, symbols and icons that may have a certain normalcy within culture, to be extracted and re-purposing to unearth suppressed feelings and or lost tendencies that are significant in critiquing or commenting on their place within culture. The objects or environments are reborn into conceptually animated works that provoke a new set of relationships to interpret and appreciate drawing metaphysical lines between multiple layers of meaning.
